Hervey Bay Airport is a located 5.8 miles (9.3 km) southeast of Pialba – a suburb in Hervey Bay. It serves as the main airport of the coastal city of Hervey Bay in Queensland. In 2005, Hervey Bay Airport underwent an $11.5 million upgrade. This included extension of its existing 1,500 m runway to 2,000 m and the creation of a new terminal building.
